CAMP

We are all about farming here at bloomsbury and this is the week you get to dive into that adventure even more! What does it take to harvest veggies? What in the world is compost? Come prepared to get your hands in the dirt and take part in growing Bloomsbury from the ground up. 

Our Summer Camp runs June through July with a focus on nature play and outdoor enrichment. These camps are perfect for adventurous families who love to pick up mud-covered kiddos each day.  While each week of camp holds themed activities, (art, animal studies, farming, or outdoor adventure) every single day here is built on the foundation of being connected and immersed in the farm and forests of Bloomsbury! All summer, Bloomsbury explorers will have the opportunity to visit and pet the farm animals, collect eggs, cultivate the children’s garden, harvest produce for a snack, and explore the forests and streams that surround the land we cultivate. Beyond themed activities and projects, free forest play will be included in each day. 

Your adventurer will be able to climb boulders and trees, make mud pies, play in the creek, build a bird nest or insect home, make mud pinch pots, and construct shelters. There will be art materials available for creating nature inspired art, as well as digging tools, strings, and loose parts to encourage creativity and collaboration.  At the end of each day, you can count on them coming home covered in dirt and full of stories!
